terrible2 not to rain on your parade but you do realize the gauge, atleast for me, is inaccurate in the beginning. But yes I also do believe I got alot better gas mileage on some headwinds.

Storm27m I know exactly what you mean. I drove my F-150 from Wichita, KS to Colorado Springs, CO against a 35-45mph quartering wind. I got about 12mpg (Normally get about 15.5mpg hwy). Drove it back six weeks later and got 18.5mpg with a 10-20mph tailwind! In the end, I guess it still worked out to be my average mpg

Mpgs!!

I was driving to school today (2 hour drive. West, then south)

As I was driving 1 hour west I used half a tank of fuel. Half a tank! They wind was hitting me right on though.

On the 2nd hour of the drive headed south. I didn't even use 1/6th of fuel.. It was incredible the difference in MPG's in headwinds..

I'm not used to it because I drove a Jaguar XJ6 for 2 years and it was very aerodynamic, not like driving a brick wall as it is with a Jeep haha.
