Not sure exactly how it busted... It happened while driving aprox. 25 mph down a residential street, sucks I don't even have a good story! Anyway the tow guy suggested that it may have weakened with salt/rust but I only drive her like 10 miles a week and clean it regularly. However I have not greased them since august.
For a while leading up to this it would buck a bit when I would shift and be jerky when going in reverse, almost like the drive shaft had some play in it and it would lose torque from the tranny, would that have anything to do with this?

|4Jeepn||I would replace both of them. What happened to cause it to bust? Also how do the yoke ears look on the shaft and outputs? U-Joint Replacement - 1|

Yet another Busted U Joint
There's a lot of chatter about this super common problem but I'm still a newb and I just had a quick question....
I'm pretty sure I busted my U Joint (video belo). Is this hard to replace? By the sounds of it the answer is no but I'm wondering if there is anythign special I should know before attempting it in the 20 deg. new england winter. Also, should I just replace both the back and front if I'm doing one anyway?
If anyone knows a good thread about this procedure it would be much appreciated.
