jp'rs_peep'rs Hi,

If you suspect a leak in your Xfer case it may be prudent to have it repaired.
The tight shifting is a normal item with the 6 speed nsg370x. Mine has done it since day one. Shift slow and easy does it.

2005 Wrangler X noise

Hello, I have a 2005 Wrangler X 6 speed manual with 22000 miles on it. Yesterday I started it up and as I started in reverse I heard a strange clonking sound coming from underneath near the middle of the Jeep. I started it this morning and let it warm up for 10 minutes and when I came out I noticed that it was leaking right around the same spot(middle of jeep) it was making noise. It was dark so i didn't see the color of the fluid. I have problems sometimes getting into 2nd when it's cold but after the engine warms up there is no grinding sound between shifting. My mechanic told me about a month ago I have a slow leak in the transfer case. Could that be it? I'm just worried....
