I suppose there is no easy way to tell if it is in fact a cracked block of a bad surface match between the head and block.

|Jerry Bransford||I think your engine is beyond re-torquing the head bolts to try to stop the coolant leaking into the engine. Coolant in the engine oil means your bearings are going to start going.|

|TD2020||The reason I say Im loosing coolant is because I checked it and it was low. Also I checked the dip stick and its way up on the stick which to me indicates anti-freeze got into the oil again. I followed the factory service manual on the torque specs and sequence. Would it be worth my time to pull the head off again and re torque everything again to make sure.|

You may be able to have the surface machined...but I'd bet (assuming you torqued everything down properly) that you're SOL on that engine.

I've seen this stuff work for years on friends rides. It's not the right way to go but if you're going to have to replace the block anyway it might bide you some time.

Still loosing coolant
I recently replaced a head gasket in my 2000 Wrangler. I took the head in and had it resurfaced and had a valve job done at the same time. The machine shop said the head was warped and not cracked so it appeared as though I had lucked out, however I think I may still be loosing coolant. Is it possible the engine block surface is warped or the block itself is cracked somewhere. Im stuck and have the feeling this Jeep is going to cost me more money than it has given me in enjoyment so far. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
