Making some progress; I think

After Looking over some things it looks like I am going to need to change out the input gear. I have never taking a transfer case apart, but I do not see any other options at this point. Do you know if this is something doable.

bbanks11 I have pictures under my profile now not sure how to add them to this. The transfer cases look identical, but the length of the output shaft is different. I am thinking it has to be changed to fit all the way up into the rear main seal. Is this difficult and should I look into getting another transfer case with the correct length.

cheapjeep71 Post some pics of t-case & id plate. It is usually a round plate on front of case.

Transfer case Issue

I recently bought a transfer case; it was the correct model but it looks like it has an electronic switch instead of a air switch. Did I waste my money or can I use it and how? I have a 92 Sahara YJ.
