sounds like a money vacuum and its gonna suck you dry, try your patience, and sanity. If you need a parts jeep thats one thing, but if you want a jeep to enjoy spend a little more up front, get a driver, and enjoy life.
My 2 cents

A guy has an entire Jeep, but it's laying around dis-assembled?
Even for a grand I don't know if I'd do it.
A guy doesn't have an entire Jeep laying around unless he was selling parts and buying parts and I have a feeling not everything will match up.
Fabrication builds character though...
Radiator, rollbar, and windshield bracket missing proves my point.
This is not the same as buying axles off a guy...

the guy bought it for had top, roll cage, fender, and the lift. he bought it from a guy and the insurance was going to total it cause someone backed into the side. but it is fixable if i want to do it. as far as the axles he thinks there stock.

yeah sounds like an okay deal to me, as long as you dont mind doing a little work, and that the guy is being honest about the engine and tranny.
theres not much to a YJ. thats what i like about them, everything is simple. and i bet you can find a windshield frame out of a junk yard or off craigslist pretty cheap.

need some opinons please
im looking at a 89 yj 4.2 with an automatic thats in a million pieces. it needs to be all assembled. he has everything except a radiator, roll bar and the windsheild frame and some nuts and bolts. the motor and trany run good so he says. needs some body work but can still a be driver with the body damage. hes asking $800-$100 for everything. just curios if this is a good deal.
