junk yards

often times i am saddened by the fact that so many classics are crushed for scrap metal but it does put some of us that like to modify our vehicles in a precarious situation. And we can all thank the GOV. for the cash for clunkers program which puts even more parts unavailable to many who still prefer to drive a real vehicle without all the modern day headaches that come with them.Being said I have spent days searching local boneyards to find the ever coveted MC2100 so I can be rid of that damn carter bbd (they soud've caled it P.O.S)
...LOL.....And after talking to one fellow at a local pull and pray he too shared my sorrow he did however sent me in a direction to climb thriugh the few older vehicles that were left.......NO LUCK.....on to the next yard....after searching trough a trailer the guy there said hey what is this????I replied "that's it"!!!I could've kissed the guy (I shook his hand instead)....SERIOUSLY...
Anyhooo I am now in the process of the changeover to the mc2100 and I would like to thank all those who have posted numerous info on this swap and easing my ongoing headach with the carter I shall let ya know how I made out.....
