2xs Guy is thinking about trading for this bike ....

2xs I registered this Jeep and found out the insurance company failed to brand the title as Salvaged!
Now it's worth (on paper) double!

As far as driving it, my AX5 2.5L drivers like a 3 speed with the 3:07s
Literally 4 th is useless!

Selling this as is for $3K should be easy.

Any takers?

With the 3:07 gears, its like driving a 3 speed....

Ill post a current pic tomorrow.
I pulled my 44 and 8.8 for the time being so I can put in 4.56 gears and an ox locker in the 8.8. I put in my stock 3.07 axles and it sucks with 33's compared to how the 4.10's were. I can only imagine a 4 banger with 3.07 gears......

2xs Since im getting my '90 ready to sell I hooked up a reverse light.
Since it was totaled, ill have to get a brake and light certificate, and since I had no reverse light, I had to add one.

2xs Got the rear Boomerang shackles installed, painted red, liek the front.

Seems the front sits an inch+ LOWER then the Rear, I might have to buy some lift springs off CL to even it out....

I also got the rest of the Roll cage painted RED (front bars to windshield (since I stole the original ones for the '93 for the Cross bar and CB mount).
Installed the cage again, and put in my old Bikini top (not the Spiderwebshade)...

Next I get to tighten everything, remove the track bars from the axles.

THEN hook up the parking brake... and install some sort of reverse lights so I can pass Brake and Lamp inspection, then smog and Post it up on CL!

2xs Getting my '90 closer and closer to sell ready, I installed the boomerang shackles that were wrong for my '93 onto the front of my '90.

Found out the shocke are too short now.

Damm, so looks like my '93 is getting new shocks pretty swoon, and the old shocks are going BACK onto the '90!

So, anyone know what shocks I should put on the '93? something to mellow out the ride as those leafs are stiff! and its got a 4" lift....

2xs Fired up my '90 today, reminded myself it still has a full tank of gas, but somehow, sitting in the driveway for 2 months, it developed a cracked exhaust manifold....

I did manage to get the Tcase put back into stock form, so when I have some time, Ill be putting that back in and prepping it for becoming derivable again..

Till then, its on Non-Op at the DMV....
02-24-2014 10:03 AM
2xs it s sitting in the same place, with a tarp on it to prevent rainwater from saoking the dash and seats.

I have been busy with the '93 that replaced it.... check the other thread in my sig...

YJJMcK update please.. just read the intire thing in the last few days...I need to know how its going.
01-28-2014 08:20 PM
2xs Reduced to 31's, 2" Black Diamond lift, and no top (for now).

Still need to hook up the brakes, and rear shocks, remove my SYE and Driveshaft to put in the '93, but the '90 will be driveable soon enough.

Anyone wanna buy a slightly salvaged '90 2.5L AX5 YJ?

2xs I HAVE A NEW (to me) JEEP!

For all my new adventures, and to see most of the mods I have on my wrecked '90 swapped onto my new '93, GO HERE:

2xs 92 Jeep Wrangler Renegade

It would be a shame to buy this and de-Renegade it for my needs...

Anyone wanna buy a Renegade kit?

2xs Guy sold the red, Yellow is too far, back to the black one, unless something else pops up....
01-08-2014 10:42 PM
Xpress Go for the red one!!!
01-07-2014 09:53 PM
simonclay Oh yeah. I forgot. The red one sounds like the best option then. In my opinion.

Im in Cali, we dont have rust issues, but I ask for pics just in-case....

2xs Damm, Yellow is too far away, and turns out it is a MACCO paint job, and he claims its not the best, so..
1993 4.0L and AX-15
Another one came into my sights, rec, hard top, and CLOSER:
01-06-2014 07:45 PM
charleybrwn13 I'm not yellow person (just me), but if the price is right and it comes with 3 tops, I might be a yellow person until I can paint it. The black one with a hard top looks really nice.

Yeah, the insurance will screw you anyway they can. Good luck.
01-06-2014 06:53 PM
2xs Insurance is trying to screw me, went from 6200 mailed today, to 5700, mailed sometime soon....
01-06-2014 02:09 PM
2xs Top black one is straight, no dents at all, zero rust, thats gret shape for me, Engine nd trans stuff I can fix if they pop up.

Yellow one Im still waiting for frame pics, but claims of no rust, no dents, no bondo.... Has hard top and full doors, soft top, and bikini top.

Lower black one im still waiting for a reply, but i want a hard top and full doors, and it looks clean in the pic (yea, i know, its one pic...),

The other is a TJ, 200K miles, but it looks clean, and im still waiting for a reply...
01-06-2014 11:46 AM
c5wagner I like the yellow one. If you don't like the color now, I'm sure it would grow on you. I hated the red, but now I love mine.
01-06-2014 02:51 AM
simonclay How great of shape is the yellow one? What makes the black be in "GREAT" shape? If the only problem with the yellow one is the color, then I say that's the one. Paint is cheap. But if there's rust or anything making it rougher than the black one, the black one might be your best option.

2xs You guys have been around since I started on my YJ, now that its totaled, I need your help choosing its successor!

Lets get your opinions on these:
Yellow 94 4.0L AX15 (3 tops, and VERY YELLOW)
Black 93 4.0L AX15 (soft top only, the rest is in GREAT shape)
Black 95 4.0 AX15 (awaiting reply to email)
White 97 TJ 4.0L AX15 (high miles) (but its a TJ!)

Top 2 are my priority.

I have asked in the general section also, and there are more pics of the yellow one there, but I wanna hear from the YJ guys exclusively...
01-04-2014 01:06 AM
2xs There are others, and 3 of the above have already crapped out, the 91 somehow got posted twice.
01-01-2014 08:44 PM
2xs Made the mistake of looking for a Jeep while my wife was watching me....

1994 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 with 3 TOPS!!!!

And I found:

1991 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
1991 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport Utility 2D
2003 Jeep Wrangler X SUV, 4WD,4.0 L. 6-Cyl,Clean Title,Very Powerfull

Hmmm.... she might want a Jeep, this means Id have to sell her Yukon, AND my Tahoe to buy 2 Jeeps....
