Part of the problem seemed to be using a portable HD. I formatted it as Fat32 but the radio still was not seeing the data. I then tried a different HD (smaller) and now it's working. I guess the WD Drive was not getting enough power.

importing music from USB/HD to in dash HD?

Okay, so what's the secret for importing files onto the internal Hard Drive?

I copied 15GB onto a portable HD and connected it via USB to my in dash USB port. I attempt to import music from via the touch screen menu and it tells me there is no media on my drive TO import.

The music is on there and in MP3 format.

The only thing I can think of, is the drive is formatted in NTFS so that my Mac on access it. Does it maybe have to be FAT32?
