jagnut Thanks Steam,
That's kinda what I figured, Some racks I've had made more noise than others. The factory roof rack on a Discovery is almost unbearable. I never thought about the soft top buffeting. Right now I'm contemplating a bumper/winch combo or the soft top option for my R.U.

steam I have had four roof racks..Thule and others. They all make noise at speed. This is especially pronounced at highway speed with a soft top. Some people have told me that a loaded roof rack with a soft top creates a waffling noise on the top....I have never filled my rack so that is not confirmed, but I can image it might.

Shrock Works roof rack

shrockworks.com/jeep-Roof-Racks-pr-16254 Does anybody have any knowledge about the Shrock Works roof rack? Overall quality of the product/wind noise at highway speeds/functionality?
The low profile, and wire mesh deck were key features I liked. I just haven't seen one in person up close.
