Jerry Bransford Speed sensitive vibrations are nearly always tire related. Even when my local Discount Tire shop did my regular rotate and rebalance of my 35" tires & claimed they were "perfect" when I was leaving, I often had to come back with a speed sensitive shimmy or vibration and insist they rebalance them more perfect.

InfernoGirl Check the torque on the lugs too, they need to be re-tightened about 100 miles after replacing tires.... 100ftlbs...

oranjeep Did you have that vibration before you got the new tires? A large percentage of " vibrations" come from poorly balanced tires. You might consider having them checked and possibly rebalanced.

Vibration from 50-70MPH

Hi Guys,

I am new to the whole Jeep thing but was looking for some imput. When i get on the highway i get a vibration through the Jeep. Its only from about 50-70MPH. I dont feel it in the steering wheel or the brake pedal. What else could it be? Its a 2002 Sahara 5spd and has the stock 30" tires. They were just replaced about 3k miles ago.
