thaduke2003 Dynatrac just put out a new D44 setup- BEEFY, not just a tarted up OEM Rubi 44. About $2k shipped, bare. So maybe $3k all told. That'll certainly hold up to 38's! Mark W.

jdhallissey on the new dana 30's and 44's it is not the ring gear failing it is the shafts and actual tubes bending ripping apart. So even if you went to the 44 your going to have the same problem. If you have the money go get rock jock 60's for it and call it a day. Either way you do it, 44's are not the way to go. Either build what you have or go rock jocks. You will spend a ton of money building a 44 to handle those when the basic same amount will go into a standard rock jock 60. A non built 60 will handle 38's easy. Those normally run 3k each. A 44 will run you the same price.

BTW how are you destroying the front axle? Are you bending the C's? Are you shreading the ring gear? IF you have stock axle shafts I can see you snapping those like twigs.

montgomery7361 i disagree, but it would help.. and thats a lot of money either way, i would rather put all that money into a 44 and be more sure about it.

jdhallissey Hey to your front 30 is can handle 38's just fine. You need to build it. Sleeve it and gusset the C's. I helped a shop near me do that to one. I know the owner of the shop and help him just for the fun of learning.

Parts list for you--
dana axle housing sleeves.
chromoly shafts
arb carrier
Gussets for the front C's
That will handle the 38's.
