1BLKJP There will be no difference in flat towing it with a locker in the front than if you were driving it. The locker will not engage fully unless there is torque applied to it ie 4wheel drive. Having manual hubs in the front would help with your flat towing because it would keep the front driveshaft from spinning constantly. Everyone I know that flat tows for long distances always disconnects both driveshafts to save some wear and tear on them.

Locker / Flat towing question:

I have an LJ that I flat tow behind my motorhome. I have been saving for an Aussie locker for the D30 on the front of it.

Yesterday, I was told that if I put a full-time locker in it, I'd have to also install un-lockable hubs. Otherwise, I would not be able to flat tow it. Has anyone heard of this? This is the first I've heard anything like this. I don't see why having an Aussie in the front would cause any problems....

The cost of the Aussie locker plus the hubs (plus gears when I go to 35's) is more than half the cost of a bolt-in built D44 with an ARB locker and the correct gears. So now I'm thinking that it might be better to just keep saving and go that direction.

Any enlightenment on this subject would be greatly appreciated!
