I followed the link and it looks like i'll do that!! What is the best setup for the money to run 35's and mild offroading? There are like 12 options!
And how hard is it to swap out an axle??

I ran a stock 30 / Super 35 with 35's forever and beat the crap outta it without breaking anything. Like somebody says it depends on how you drive it.
Your weakest link in what you listed is certainly the 35c. Seen way too many of them break on the trail.
You might consider a Super 35 upgrade. Worked for me. If not, ditch that 35c and grab something (anything) stronger.

How long the D30 lasts will depend on you. The D35, that will depend on luck.
Figure on upgraded front shafts if/when you wreck the OEM ones. Trussing the D30 might also be worthwhile.

If it is your daily driver then i think your axles should hold up... OK/.. but not for long if you do any type of wheeling at all...
My suggestion, go to the local junk yard and find a wrecked jeep D44 or D60 or ford 8.8 and take it off and see if you can buy it for a good price. then take it home and clean it up.
Or you could get 33" tires and your axles should hold up fine !

|whitebuffalo||35s are definetly the upper limit of the dana 35. with open diffs and lite wheeling (no rocks) it might survive. the dana 30 up front should be fine.|

If you can get a set of D44's, otherwise your next best option is a Ford 8.8 for the rear.
The 8.8 is a little stronger, especially if you get one with the 31splines or 33splines I believe it is.
Check the classifieds on Jeepforum and Pirate, there's always some forsale on those site. Sometimes you can find them with the TJ brackets already on them, worst case you'd have to buy the brackets and get them welded.

I have a dana 30 front and a dana 35c rear, or so i'm told. They have 3.07s in them,i want to go to either 4.10s or 4.56s, would that setup be ok for a mild lift (big enough to run 35s), if i do mild offroading? If not what would be the best mods, i mostly keep it on the highway, just want it to look good and be functional with out tearing anything major up.
