JimmyJazz I'm pretty sure hardtop is the same on both TJ year models (Be sure it's from a TJ and not a LJ of course, which is the longer version of the wrangler tj). The only change is around 2003 when they decided to remove the vents from behind the hardtop's windows.

You will only need the bolts and washers that secure the hardtop to the tube, and wiring harness if you want to plug in a rear window washer/defroster

What to check? Well, i'd check if the rear window is opening properly, if the side windows are in good condition and well glued to the top. and also if the front clamps are in working condition

Hard top??

Will the hardtop off a 2004 rubicon fit my 2005 X? I have a soft top now what hardware do I need for hardtop? Also what should I look for when buying a used hardtop(problems/cracks)?

Thanks
