kg4kpg Reviews show little to no difference other than simplicity of use in the 2800m compared to the 8000. Mods please delete the two threads if you please.

Yaesu FT-2800M vs. Icom IC-V8000

Looking at their brocure they seem to have a lot of similar features except the Icom mic seems like it will do more. Any opinions on the two here? I did read somewhere that the V8000 is a lot of work to set-up and use. Someone offered me the Yaesu for trade for my dual band but you could almost buy two for the value of my radio.
