x2, if you don't cut and weld, pull the brackets out and take 'em to a machine shop, autoshop or bike shop. Somewhere they can do some fabricating...
Tell 'em how much shorter you want them and pick 'em back up in a couple days.

|nyvulcanman||Take the bracket and measure it to find the center then you can cuta inchon both sides ofthe centerline weld it back together paint it reinstall it and you will be 2 inches lower that should help you I had to do it to mine when I put tjseats in my yj. Tj seats sit higher and that's howi solved the issue|

Pictures? Maybe of you sitting in the seat to get an idea of how much of a problem you have here?
Also.. were the factory seats bad, or were you just going for an upgrade?

Seats too high
I'm new too this forum and I have a question. I own a 87 yj that I installed Smittybilt hi back reclining seats my problems is that the seats are too hi and even with the seat all the way forward I can barely touch the pedals. I'm 5'4" tall and have installed after pedal covers to help with the issue but still need to be closer. Anyone have any ideas, oh i checked the local 4wd stores and there seems to be no after market seat risers that are lower.
