Hi all from sunny florida
I am the proud new owner of a 97 TJ. Been waiting a long time to own a Jeep. The wife and I are formerly from Maryland...probably the the only one on here that knows where I mean is HMenker..lol...wife is from Hagerstown and I'm from Westerport and Bloomington Md. oh an Cumberland..
Wife and I are both avid rockhounds and love to go to the mountains in N. Georgia to pursue our hobbies...actually that's how I ended up finally getting my Jeep. We joined a gold prospecting club in N. Georgia and last fall went on our first outing with them.
We all met at a church parking lot at the top of the mountain..and when the others showed up...I said ok...where is the gold creek...they looked at the wife and I an our brand new 2005 Nissan Sentra and laughed and pointed down over the side of the mountain and the small steep trail and and said...way down there...lol. They jumped in thier 4 x 4's and away they went down the mountain trail...
My wife saw the look on my face and said ...oh no...you aren't ....are you ??
I said ...get in...and away we went down the trail in the nissan...lol...well we made it down and back up ....with a little luck and some great driving skills...(toot my own horn here)...lol..
Anyway, when we made it back up the mountain...the panic left my wifes face and she looked at me and said....You know what ...we need a Jeep....
That worked for me...now we have one...
So nice to meet you all
