Stock Jack handle

Allright, this might be a dumb question, but I found my stock jack under the passenger seat, can't find the jack handle. Is it supposed to be there with the jack or is it stored somewhere else on a 1997 TJ and I'm not seeing it?
I'm having to lug a huge floor jack with me in the meantime which takes up most of the space in the rear.

If I'm missing it does anyone know offhand of a brand of small jack that that will fit where the original is supposed to go?

Thanks in advance.
