lancetkenyon In 2wd, you will not feel it at all. You WILL hear it though. Clicks around corners.

I would think about a Lockright or a Spartan locker before the Aussie though. They might be a touch more $$$, but the availability of parts/service is far greater all over the country. I tow my Jeep to places, and if I were ever to break something, I would want to be able to get parts locally. Aussie availability is very limited. Most places stock Lockright and Yukon stuff.

530ktm I recently put the Power Trax Lock Right locker in my 99 TJ with the Dana 30 in front. I love it. There were times I would get in a situation that I could not go forward any farther because of lack of traction. But now with the locker it is great. When in 2 wheel drive you can not notice it at all except for the ticking sound when turning which is perfectly normal. Leave the back 35 open for the many reasons in other threads.

turdhurdler I have an Aussie in my YJ. I love it and wish I would have done it sooner. I do have the vacuum disconnect with makes a 2 piece axle, so when in 2 wheel drive it acts as if it is not even there. With your axle being one piece you may feel it try to engage during turns or while changing lanes.
