massyj Thank you! I will check out that link right away. It's a Bestop and I actually have 2 sets of canvas, one black the other grey. I don't think I'm assembling the frame correctly. It doesn't make much noise, and it looks fine from the outside. But from the inside, it doesn't look lined up anywhere and when I close the hard doors, they bang up against the soft top frame. This Jeep has the diagonal roll bar, but all I've seen is instructions for those w/ the back seat bar too. This throws off my perception for some reason. I'll take pics tomorrow because it's dark now and I have a shit camera.

4Jeepn Is it a factory top or an aftermarket one.. or your not sure? Any pic's you can post of the problems area's? I had issue with mine, sounded like a gun going off in heavy winds... then I realize the foam was missing from the center bar over the sport bar.. that helped a lot..

AzTJ Maybe this install guide from Bestop will work for you. It's for their "Supertop" for the YJ, but it should be pretty universal.

embarrassed to have to ask

I have a 90 YJ. Took the hard top off for the summer, of course. When I put the soft top on, it took forever and didn't look quite right (stability-wise). This baby is pretty much a hodge podge of parts, so I can't even be sure I have the right top for this Jeep.

It doesn't bother me much now, but it's got to go up eventually... I pulled the carpets but haven't bedlined it yet. I'm pretty sure I assembled the whole damn thing wrong anyway. Can someone walk me through this or maybe point me toward an instructional video? I'm totally willing to admit I'm a moron, but spacial relations is not my strong suit.
