|IronBearTJ||I think you would be ok, 2002-2004 version was very slightly different. I could find stuff for that year just not mine. But thanks and Jeep On!|

|IronBearTJ||This "project" started as just replacing bearings and sychros. Now a month and a half later (because parts are VERY DIFFICULT to find) I still don't have my jeep back. I but not 15 min ago found the final gear I needed. I have a yellow 2000 TJ Sport. It has the NV3550 transmission. It was the first year they made the transmission in the wrangler (witch ran from 2000-2004) and is now discontinued. If you ever ever EVER find yourself with this tyranny and it goes bad. Do yourself a favor and convert to something else. Ps. It started as bearing and tend sychros replacement, then when inside found bad 2nd gear, bad mainshaft, bad cluster shaft and bad 5th gear hence all the headaches|

2000 TJ NV3550 nightmare.
Does ANYONE know the tooth count on 5th gear. I'm starting to wonder why I ever bought this damn jeep!
