Zetsumei Full doors have glass and everything. Half doors have plastic uppers that are like the soft top. I think you can get uppers with glass, but I do know you can get them with sliding windows, and different things like that.

btetzl50 Thanks 4Jeepn.

One question about doors, What's the difference between half and full? Glass in both?

4Jeepn Welcome.

Not sure what jeeps go for in your area. But bases on your price range, I would say a late model YJ (last one was 1995) might fit, or an early model TJ wrangler 97-06. Keep in mind is a used Jeep so it may need some things fixed replaced etc. I would look for a 6cly vs the 4cly. Auto or man trans is good. For the YJ look for model years 91 or newer, as they have the fuel inject 6cly. Biggest difference between the YJ and TJ, Yj has leaf springs TJ has coil springs. Go drive both see what works for you. Check for rust on the YJ frame as they have issues with that, mostly at the rear from the tires back.

My first Wrangler??

I've always wanted a Wrangler for the summers here in MN and I'm starting to "research" (lurk on forums!) to find more info likes/dislikes.

-I'm looking for a used Wrangler for roughly $3,000-$6,000.
-I won't be doing serious off-roading, just unimproved roads in state forests type of thing.
-I don't know if i want a stick or auto trans. Sticks are so much more fun in cars, but what are they like in a Wrangler?
-I don't think I want a hard top at all, since I'll park it for the winter.
-I do wish to have a back bench so if needed I can haul 4 peeps.
-I am NOT mechanically confident or really inclined at all. (I wouldn't dare try to install a lift kit, but can change a tire, battery, stereo. I have with a friend's help changed a serpentine belt before.

Sooooo, any pitfalls to avoid? Sage advice on what models/years to look at?

Thanks!
Brad
