Pretty sure the JKU bracket will not fit the JK floor pan, they are very different brackets.

I was in the same boat looking for some under-seat locking storage. From my hours of research and talking to a friend at Morris 4X4, there's nothing that is out yet that will work. He called several different "brands" (Bestop, Tuffy, etc.) and came up empty.

That in mind, I went with Tuffy Locking Cubby Cover, Black - 143-01
This is what I ended up going with. Easy install and does the job. The instructions were highly lacking however. Nothing but pictures. We did have to take out the plastic tray that lines the rear cubby. I have the Quadratec tray in my 09 and the new 11+ tray fit mine just fine, so we swapped.

JKatfish Idea! Cut the bar and let us all know how it works! Or not...

daggo66 The underseat box in my 09 is ideal and we were hoping to do the same thing.

Yeah, I was REALLY confused on what I wanted to do when it came to locking security...and I still am. While the rear cover is nice, it's not terribly convenient if you pack stuff in your rig...and then need to get to the locking area.

daggo66 Yeah, I thought I read in the directions that drilling was required. I just looked again. I see now that it bolts to existed holes. Now I have to compare again and re-think the whole thing. Thanks, I think.

Drilling in the bed? Did you mean that in reference to the cover I posted?

If so, there's zero drilling on that one. It replaces the factory plastic cover with a steel cover that locks. Take about 10 minutes to install.

JKatfish I have a 2012 2 dr and use a gunvault nv200. Does the job, but not as easy access. I would look at a 4 dr seat and see how they are built. I am thinking if you dont use the slide and tilt feature, that front bar can probably be cut. Or somehow find a used 4dr front seat.

Yeah, I definitely screwed the pooch with the thread title. I knew what I was looking for, why didn't everyone else? LOL!

kbwwolf Nice.

daggo66 I'm leaning toward this as an alternative: Vertically Driven Products 32501 - VDP Locking Hidden Storage Vault for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

That's what I'm getting as well. I just wanted to make sure that someone didn't find a work around before I pursue other options.

I can only speak for the '12, but the Bestop and the Tuffy boxes won't fit a 2-door, due to the fold and tumble seats (or whatever Chrysler calls em).

Pretty sure it's the same with '13s and '14s, as well. Though I've been known to be wrong.

I've got one in my 4-door, and had to remove only a bracket that held some of the seat electronics. There was no bar in the way. Maybe there's a way to make it work, but I'm not sure what it is...

That the issue I'm trying to solve. Does anyone have one in a 2 Dr?

Btw. Highly recommend the safe box it's working out very well.

Hope this helps.
