1995 jeep wrangler

i have a 1995 jeep wrangler. i just recently tore it apart and rebuilt the whole thing. bf goodrich km2 32x10.5x15 . ion alloy rims. i took the 4 cylinder out and dropped a chevy 350 5.7 liter with a throttle body injection computer. we had to rewire the harness from chevy to jeep instead of buying the new harness. we finished and tried starting it. it fired up very rough and died with black smoke. our first problem we found was that we over tightened the rockers and bent the push rods. we got new ones and put them in. we tried starting it again and it still had the same problem. Remembering that we bent the push rods we thought that we might have bent the valves too. we took it apart and the valves were fine. we now think that its a wiring problem but arent sure. If anyone knows and has done this before and had the problem, help me out?
