TheGG54 ^^^ Oh, and it was super easy to install

TheGG54 I bought the BestTop replace-a-top lastyear and I'm very happy with it. It took a beating last winter with all the snow and salt. It didn't stain and still looks brand new. I don't have any experience with any other brands, but I'm just giving you my $.02

spartan933 I recently bought this one off ebay, might be the same that you are looking at.

I replaced the soft top on my 04 TJ and was actually impressed with the look and ease of use of this Smittybilt top. It actually makes my jeep look brand new.

Installation was relatively easy. Just take your time and don't rush and you won't have any problems. Anyways, the quality of the Smittybilt is great and I am actually surprised I was able to get it so cheap.

InfernoGirl Understood. But we are trying to save you $240....
07-25-2010 11:29 AM
Stefins Quadratec price is about $404 plus shipping $50 est.

My main issue is money. I am not working and I would rather spend 240 vs 410.

Thanks for all the input...

whiteyj Go with the Bestop. Look at Quadratec pricing as well. Many times they are running a sale on the Bestop products.

InfernoGirl Go for the Bestop...... there's probably a reason for the nickname of the other one...

Stefins The $240 price is from ebay. Its for a smittybuilt soft top.
I just have not pulled the trigger yet.

I think I can get a Bestop replace a top for $410 from Jeeptop Depot.

So basically I am decided
A, Smitty Built for $240
B, Bestop for $410
Both would be for tinted Windows

InfernoGirl There are tons of options for aftermarket tops. Google them and you'll be busy for hours. Keep in mind you get what you pay for.... And Bestop makes the OEM tops so you already know the quality there.

Stefins Thanks..
I forgot to mention that I do have the factory hardware
07-21-2010 08:10 PM
JDsDream It sounds like you have found a pretty good deal although I am partial to Bestop products. They do offer a replace-a-top that uses your factory hardware. Check ebay, quadratec, and 4wheelparts for comparison.

I need to replace my soft top

I am in South Brunswick.
2000 Blue Jeep Wrangler with a black soft top and full doors.

Anybody have any information about some places to get a new soft top?

I have seen a site on ebay and I can get a smittybuilt soft top with tinted windows for $240 including delivery.

Any advice and suggestions would be appreciated.
