Geoff@Bestop Probably the best choice. The 3-piece halftop option is used by some people year round, but I'd personally go with a full top. And maybe a Bikini for summer.

Thanks for your support!

Ivanovich Alright, I went with the replace-a-top.

Ivanovich Yeah, the hardware is good on the Jeep, it's just the fabric and zippers that have become old, etc.

I like the halftop, but am cautious of your option on putting essentially the same thing together from three other pieces available, as I do not want rain getting in. Your thoughts on the rain aspect?

Geoff@Bestop I assume you have the factory top now?

You have lots of options.

It is true that the Halftop from Bestop won't fit your Jeep. That's due to some changes in the roll bar, and the roll bar padding material.

But you can go with a Bikini, Windjammer and Duster. That's basically a half top, it's just not sewn together.

A great option if you have good hardware is the Replace-A-Top - that will get you all new fabric and windows, but reuse your current hardware. You can upgrade to the Sailcloth option: a bit more expensive, but our best-reviewed top.

You can remove all your hardware and get a top like the Trektop, which uses your roll bars for support.

And, of course, there are even tops from companies besides Bestop.

Where to buy? Totally up to you. We have a list of online and local places at The big issue with overnight might be the painful back orders we have right now on a lot of our tops.

Edit: whatever option you go with, keep your door surrounds. They'll be useful.

Soft top question

I've got a 2003 X, and the soft top is ratty. Zippers have all gone the way of extinction. It's my understanding that my only choice to replace this is with another similar "replacement" top, as the Half tops, and other like items don't work with my year jeep (according to the Besttop conversation I just had).

Is this correct? Are there other alternatives?

If not, can anyone recommend a good place to get the replacement top? Would be nice if I could get it overnight or even in the Baltimore, MD area.

Thanks in advance.
