A transfer case lowering kit may eliminate the vibes, but an SYE is the best fix with a longer drive shaft. It is not overly difficult to install on your own. Advanced Adapters sells some high quality kits with detailed easy to follow instructions. If you have the mechanical know how to remove and reinstall the transfer case, then you should be good enough to install the kit. It seems much more intimidating than it really is.
Oh yeah, check your rear pinion angle also. Since installing your lift, it may be at a bad angle.

|Jerry Bransford||Your RE 3.5" lift is more like 4.5" in reality and my standard SYE and longer CV-driveshaft recommendation is that it is needed for 4" and taller suspension lift heights. Not only does that combination get rid of the vibrations, of course, the OE driveshaft starts becoming too short once you get to 4" of lift height. Should the OE driveshaft get pulled almost off the t-case output shaft due to it being barely long enough with that much lift, it can conceivably bend the t-case output shaft if it binds on the t-case output shaft as it tries to recompress after being pulled out from the suspension flexing fully.|

Do I need a slip yoke eliminator??
97' TJ with 3 1/2" Rubicon Express lift kit and Daystar 1" body lift, 35" BFG KM2's. Since the lift, I have had a pretty serious vibration at all speeds when accelerating. IF I do need a SYE, has anyone installed one on their own and how hard was it?? Any special tools required? Any recommendations on brands?
