Kspike I went yesterday and had a fantastic time! Wheeled every trail in my stock jk except the front side of the "Daniel" trail. Only scrubbed the skid plates twice. It rained here all day on Thursday so there was plenty of mud and dust was minimal. Perfect day. Most of the really difficult spots on the trail have a bypass around them but it is extremely rocky so make sure you have a spare.

As for lift, jk is stock on 32 inch bcc m/t. No scrubbing. We took my stock t/j last year and hit just about everything on the trail. A minimal lift would have been perfect.

Working on downloading photos and will post soon.

Shadeemry I'm from Raleigh, was wondering about those trails, what kinda mods if any are recommended? I have a yj 95 with some mods on it.

Adam H I doubt I'll go. I flipped my motorcycle Wednesday morning and broke my collar bone. I doubt I'll want to try wheeling a stick shift.

ESP123, don't worry. Gun season won't come in until October. You'll just have to worry about arrow holes.

harwa004 I am headed the OTHER direction tomorrow--to the coast. Otherwise, I would be there!
08-20-2010 10:12 PM
Kspike That would be great but I'm not sure of time. Meeting someone that is coming up from Carolina beach and he is going to call when he gets to bisco. If you want, pm me with your phone and i'll give you a call when I have details. Just a small group of us but all are extremely experienced with uwharrie trails.

jayc I've been, it's a fun trail, very well mapped out and courses for all levels. I'm definitley down if I dont have to ship anytime soon, waiting on that word as I type. I'm also on nc4x4 forum and a few of them were talking about going up there for Laborday weekend.
Callentte is great too, beautiful drive up there from Raleigh. There are roosters that live next door to the camp ground tho so no oversleeping LOL.

EdJonesJeeper ^^^^Uwharrie NF Recreation Guide

ok the trail Jammers are putting this on the back burner b/c with have the Flats the weekend after and a Mtn City Callalantee Trip at the end of sept/oct date not set yet.

I've never been to Uwarrie but lived in NC all my life and wanted to go. The more I talk with guys that have been there the consensus is it is a very beginner trail.

With that being said, it's 2.5 hrs from me and now I'm not positive now I want to spend the trip down. Carolina Trailblazers will be there but I'm not familiar with anyone in their club.

Unless we can get a group together I might bow out so please tell me if your positive you want to go.
