New wheels with original tires?

Hey everyone! Just bought a new 2010 Wrangler sport about 3 weeks ago. I am looking at getting new wheels in the next few weeks. My question is, is it possible (or wise) to just use the original tires on the new wheels since I have only put a few hundred miles on it so far? The dealership said that I could pick up some wheels for around $4-500 and just have the original tires put on them. Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
