|GoldTJ||Pyramid=DOO-DOO!Put a decent mid-bass speaker in there-I used an MB Quart,and it sounds SWEET!On the factory amp,even!I have a Kenwood head unit,Jeep fronts,and Kicker mid-bass drivers in sound bar.|

the first mistake you made was to get a sub from pyramid, it might be an issue with the factory headunit. get a new headunit, it may not fix the issue but it will bring those speakers to life, you will be in aw when you hear the difference in quality.
a sub can look ok when you take it out and "snoop" around a bit, but there are parts that you can not see or feel when you push down on the cone.

center console speaker sounds AWFUL 4 months AFTER replacement
So I replaced my center console speaker with a pyramid about 4 months ago, using the exact same process that's described on the forum. It was fine ever since - EXCEPT for about 2 days ago, it started to sound awful again. It either sounds extremely crackly or cuts out completely. I first thought loose connection, so I took the console out and soldered all of the wires to the speaker terminals - didn't help at all. I checked the speaker our thoroughly and it's not blown
Has anyone had this problem and solved it? I am running the factory head unit, 2 pioneers in the front and 2 alpines in the sound bar. I appreciate everyone's help!
