Shielded cable, a GL isolator & filter right to the battery (My isolator also turns off the radio if the battery hits less than 12.3v)
I'd be more concerned with where to put the antenna....
Hard to find a good spot where your ground plane is even close to adequate while keeping the antenna from requiring a safety strobe on top of it for low flying aircraft

|yomondo||I would prefer to connect it to an accessory fuse block or run a fused line directly to the battery, as opposed to tapping into an existing line and risk overloading that circuit.|

CB Radio power connection on JK
I'm installing a CB radio on my JK, and need some advice on where to connect the 12V DC cable. I see a few recommendations on either an open fuse (not sure where to find these, etc etc), or something about connecting it to the ignition terminal (which means it only works when vehicle is running? I don't like that).
I want to be able to switch the CB radio on regardless of my Jeep being on. I plan to mount the radio directly above my stereo interface, on my dash. Has anyone done this, and can you recommend what to do with the power cable?
