JeepDipper to get a motor go to craigslist and type it in and the trans its what you want do u want a auto or standered. if you want a 5 speed you need to get all the clutch parts pedal linkage etc. imo go with 5speed so u can control what gear you want but its all up to you. Your going to need motor mounts and trans mounts all you got you do is (research)
and im thinking bout the same swap and got with a rebuilt motor or a new one built the way you want

Where to get a chevy 350 engine?

I dont see the purpose in getting a completely brand new engine. For those of you who have done the V8 swap where did you get your engine from? Should i get a used one or, rebuilt? If someone could post links, or point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.

Also, i have an automatic, would it be cheaper to keep it an automatic through the switch, or to transfer it into a manual? I know how to drive both, but am unsure if it will cost more to keep it an automatic.

Thanks for your guys help in advance, really means alot!

-Trying to jeep it the v8 way
