"roof" rack options

I have an 05 Wrangler Unlimited, with a front roof rack that attaches at the base of the side of the windshield, above the door hinges, with 1-1/4" tube risers and a bar goung across above teh windshield. It works fine.

In the back I use a "goalpost" type rack, which attaches via the receiver and straps to the ends of the rear bumper. It also works satisfactory.

Problem is, Sometimes I would like to be able to use the hitch when the boats are on the roof racks. Mostly for my receiver platform, but sometimes to tow a small utility trailer(with more kayaks).

I am wondering if I should replace the rear 'goalpost' with a rack that mounts on the bumper or somewhere on the body, or if there is some type of receiver adapter that would let me use both the goalpost and the trailer hitch at the same time.

Any suggestions? I would prefer to keep costs as low as possible, but on the other hand, a new removable roof cargo rack that could double as a boat rack would be cool. Would like to hear opinions about the different rack options and their pluses and minuses.
