silverhero2005 thanks do u know where i might be able to find the lil plastic rod....

Jerry Bransford The shift handle pulls straight up and off. It is TIGHT so you need to get into a good position so you can pull hard on it but it will (!) come off if you pull straight up hard enough. Odds are the little plastic rod inside the vertical part of the shifter that the button pushes downward on has broken. Replacing it is simple.

automatic shifter problem

as i try to put my jeepn in park, it wont let me put it in park,its like stuck i think its the lil button on the side of the shifter but dnot know how to take it off.... any ideas would help thanks.
