I didn't just weld them to the front of the plate, I plasma'ed out the mounts & they are welded to 1" stock inside the bumper..

More welding... Its never gonna end..

30-284 Your first pic shows rec. tube the next pics show formed up material that at best may be 10 ga. I don't think 10 ga will hold those d-ring tabs when they are welded to only one side if you really have to use them. If that is the case then cut thru the first layer and at least double up the material behind the d-ring tabs and weld the tabs to both layers at the least. The bumper will look good when your done though.

Bumper Fab

Hi All,

I'm new here & just picked up a 2000 Wrangler SE. The previous owner had a plow on it but wanted it back. That left me without a front bumper. Time to make one..

Pulling the plow bracket


Starting Fab.









I still have a lot to do to finish it.. Receiver, D-Ring Mounts, light bar, more gussets, clean up all the welds, sand blast everything & paint it.. Whew..
