daddyjeep Nothing different. I can't remember if you have to change something on the light for 6cyl.

Is the timing something I can check or do I have to take it somewhere? I have a timing light, so just do the norm and check it ? Or do I need to take it somewhere. I can do a 302 & 351 with my eyes closed. I have never messed with a little ol jeep motor. Thanks everyone.

theorrminator If it is starting right up cold and is not mis-firing then it sounds like the wires are in the right order. If it is giving you problems after warming up then you may also want to have the ignition coil tested...

daddyjeep Have you checked the timing lately? Maybe the timing was adjusted once to compensate for the plugs and wires that needed changed. Just a thought, at least it is something free and easy to check.

something to add

I forgot to mention. When I start the jeep in the morning(first start) she fires right up. But after driving like 25 miles give or take. That is when she seems to take a few seconds to turn over. Like the heat slows the starting. Starter is only about a month old. Thanks again

jeeping93 I just went and looked, From My #1 I went to the left(clockwise). Is that correct?

rebelBullDawg325 when you started where you thought #1 was on the distributor, did you continue in a clockwise or counterclockwise motion

Spark plug picture/firing order

Well all, my first tech question. I know ya'll are the best out there so...My question, I know the firing order on my 4.0 93 is 153624. But after I changed my plugs, wires, cap and rotor it just seems to start harder. I gapped the plugs correct and put every wire where it started (so I thought). Just wondering if anyone has a picture or something to go buy. The distributor isn't marked to tell where #1 is. So I guessed and think I'm off one way or the other? So any pictures or any thing is greatly appreciated.
