Pepsimayn Do you have a pic of it by chance?

Vaultzz I have my amp mounted on the driver side rear wheel well

Pepsimayn I'm rewiring everything anyways

97sport09 Well if the connector on the tweeters doesn't connect to the wiring harness then you will have to splice, which is what you will have to do i'm guessing...

Pepsimayn Good idea, and thanks.

Are most guys just splicing, or do they use connectors? Reason I ask is my new tweeters have a connector on them already?

I will get some pics and try to do some kind of a tutorial.

97sport09 There are two bolts on each side of the seat to hold down the rear seat, so you could maybe rig something up to just attach it to those bolts?

Pepsimayn Is there any way to attach the amp so its less likely to be taken without causing irreparable harm to the jeep?

Pepsimayn Front or back seat? I found a fan for the back but think it will still get hot back there.

Thanks guys

Yep, I have my sub amp snug under the seat, can't see it at all, no problems so far of overheating or anything.

jeepr Heres kinda what I did most computer fans use a 12v source, and using a relay you can wire them into the remote of your stereo system so they turn on when your speakers do. and then your amps stay cool make sure the air from the fan(s) passes over the cooling fins on the amp btw.

Pepsimayn I was thinking about venting it, not sure how to do it though. I just don't want it to be too easy to steal all the electronics.

dutch169 Could you drill a few air holes on the top?

97sport09 I don't think mounting the amp would be a good idea in there unless it has a built in fan on the amp, which some do...

Pepsimayn Nothing? Really?

How's this for amp location? Metal storage thing?

Hey guys, I recently picked up this 06X and it came with a metal storage container in the back with the only access being the tailgate. My question is: can I mount my amp/crossovers back there and have them be ok considering the heat they produce and no breeze?

I was considering a extendatrunk or tuffy, but if what I have will work I would rather spend the money on other necessities.

Fairly new to externally amped power.

Whats going in?

MB Quart 5.25 premium components in the dash
MB Quart 6.5 premium components in the sound bar
MB Quart 4.80w at 4 ohms RMS 4 channel
Alpine CDA-117
