wow jcs you are way more of a hardcore jeeper than me LOL. i wonder what kind of looks you got!
i'm considering just keeping the carpets out for the summer since i'm getting sick of zipping the side windows in and out depending on the weather and just putting up the roof for the occasional thunderstorm/rainy day that comes along. what benefit does the carpet provide anyway?

I got stuck in that same storm dj chizzle. Cept I got stuck with no doors and no top at all in traffic for about 45 minutes
Pull the drain plugs and keep the windows out or open, or even the top off, for a few days untill it dries. It is suppose to rain again friday so I would keep the top off tommorrow, see if it dries all the way. If it doesnt (should) pop the plugs back in thursday night, put the top/windows all back in, then un hook the rear quarter flaps and let them hang off the back. Wont let the rain in, but should air the inside enough to keep mold out.
The smell will go away once it dries. I hose my carpets and seats (cloth) out with the drain plugs pulled everytime I come back from wheeling, no smell yet

|crafty||I used to keep a can of vanilla aerosol spray until it would dry out. Especially when it was from the green water|

|jjseel||After the first 3 or 4 times, I decided to just leave mine out until I put the top back on, the Spring here has been very wet.|

I think as soon as it dries the smell will be gone..... actually, I know that as soon as it dries the smell will be gone.
I don't think there's anything you can do but just let it dry. A close friend of mine says you can hose the carpets off, so I don't think you'll have a problem.

so i got to use my drain holes for the first time this afternoon. had the top up but left my sides and rear window at home, then had a torrential thunderstorm this afternoon and when i got off work i found an inch of water front and back. fortunately i had my front windows rolled up and my neoprene seat covers did a great job keeping the seats dry underneath. so i pulled the plugs and let the water drain out, but my question was about my wet soggy carpet. i pulled it out and am gonna let it dry on my apartment's balcony. what do you guys do? i dunno if leaving it in would contribute to rust problems down the line since i plan on keeping it awhile. will letting it dry out prevent any bad musty smells?
