Gate53 I run mine with 30 pounds in them on or off road. It could be you just need to slow down a little. Welcome.

InfernoGirl I'd think you just need to mash on the clip that holds the ashtray in to get it back, but Idk... Next time you offroad, try airing down to soften the ride. Of course, make sure you have a way to air up before you hit the pavement again. As far as a cover, the Bestop trail cover is the best $100 you'll spend on your TJ...

New TJ owner questions

Hi all,

I just purchased my 2001 TJ for pleasure riding and while out on the trail it got a bit bumpy. The ashtray fell out of the dash and I can not tell how to reinstall. Any ideas or pictures would be appreciated. Also, since i don't want to put the top on and off all the time, anyone have any recommendations on a waterproof cover that can be put on the jeep when not in use? I am in south LA so it does rain a bit down here. Thanks everyone and have a great day.
