jgano23 this is a common issue here is one effective way of doing it...

i stole the following quote from this thread:

Before starting spray with PB Blaster to help.

HI-Lift version: put a towel around the lip of the jack as not to scratch the Jeep and then lift into position just making contact with hinge pin. Slowly jack into higher position, should only take one or two pumps to relieve the stress and make the hinge start moving. You'll have to try swinging & lifting door slowly, since the last thing you want is the door to fly off and the jack falling on you or the Jeep.

Floor Jack: same way but using a 2x4 or 4x4.

If you have another person to help it always makes it easier too.

Once doors off, spray or lube them with grease, to make easier for future install & removal

JohnSmith Welcome dude, what color is your rig?? Are you still having problem with your doors? Just a heads up, you might want to pick up some sleeves to slide in after you take the doors off cause they wear out quickly. ( the sleeves I am talking about go into the little hinge before you slide the doors back in)

Wolffdood Yeah my 97 had half doors that slid right off too. These are in tight. I've removed the nuts, the straps, have had two people lifting at once, and nothing seems to work. Just sux that summer's over and I didn't get to take them off..

New from Montgomery County, Maryland and stuck doors issue

Hello all! In the summer of 09 I bought my very first Wrangler! 97 Wrangler which was beat up and a lot of fun! Loved it so much, and after months of convincing, wife 'allowed' me to upgrade to an 07 JK Rubicon!

Not to cut to the chase, however I already have a minor issue. It seems that the previous owner never took the doors off and now they're stuck. I've removed the bolts and WD40'd the heck out of the hinges and nada. Doors are stuck real good! Any suggestions?
