|JeepCrawler98||I've taken the ones on my buddy's Jeep on and off numerous times - the studs never spun a bit, in fact the spacer itself shows pretty much no wear.|

Thanks for the replies.
Another thing I'd like to ask. I noticed is that most of the spacers are aluminum, unsually anodized. They are pressing wheels studs into the aluminum. Has anyone heard of the wheel studs lossening up? I'm probably thinking about this too much. Seems like I had some aluminum wheels loosing up a while back when I forgot to retorque after a couple of hot cool cycles

|JeepCrawler98||Just make sure you get the billet machined ones with a new set of studs - and not the cast iron shims. The shims is why so many people are weary of the spacers, since they can break off wheel studs easily, but the there are no real issues with running a good spacer. It's no different than running a low BS (that's backspacing, not bullshit ) wheel.|

|amerijeep||For some reason, there has always been a lot of controversy about wheel spacers. The truth is, there is no significant negative impact for using wheel spacers. I have always wondered why some people preach doom about wheel spacers. There are certain benefits to running wheel spacers or using wheels with decreased backspacing. The obvious of which is being able to maintain turning radius with oversized tires. Also, there is a wider stance which gives the vehicle more stability. As long as there is enough of the lug bolt to sufficiently mount the wheel with the spacer, it's a great way to go. I'm going to be installing some myself soon. I really like the wheels that came on my sahara and don't want to ditch them.|

|khenderson||i don't think you're missing anything. as you move the mass of the wheel farther out, you're going to have more bearing loads. so i don't think there's any difference between a lower backspaced wheel and wheel spacers. i could be wrong, though, and if i am, someone will chime in and correct me.|

Does anyone know of the impacts of running wheel spacers on rear? I am thinking about 1.5-1.75 range, and only the type that will pilot to hub and wheel (like spidertrax). Seems like some web site showed math implying significantly more bearing loads, but can't find it. In thinking it though, I can't see any difference between a shallow back space and a deeper one with a wheel spacer. Am I missing something?
