jherrin215 Yeah at max flex, but I am sure that with a 2 inch longer shock there will be plenty of room for that extra inch of lift. I am sure that with the 2 inch lift if you flex the front the tires will be into the fender before the shock fully extends anyway, so that would just be running out of shock a lil sooner.

Triple88a ^ wouldnt the shocks add as a limiter on the maximum spring lengh if they arent long enough?

jherrin215 Yeah I agree with unipar, the shocks should be fine. You might run into some problems with major flexing, but they should be fine for mild stuff!!

upinar You will not need anything. Just the coil spacers. 2 inch lift shock would be fine . Dont need longer brake lines either. Just slip the spacers in and your good to go

Joe Dirt I'd get longer brake lines too.

iamagolfspaz Looks like i will get in touch with the shop that installed the lift on Monday.

Triple88a what lift did you get? what shocks came with it? maybe call the people you got the lift from and ask how much longer than stock the shocks are.

I woulnt think they will give you longer shocks if you need 2" only.

iamagolfspaz Just looked up my shocks online. The ones i have are for 0-2 inch. Looks like i need to get the 3-4 inch ones for the front.

activelydying don't some shocks work upto 3 inches.
06-09-2007 09:01 PM
Triple88a I'm guessing you have 2" lift shocks then.. so you will need some new 3" longer (than stock) shocks if u wanna go up another inch
06-09-2007 08:53 PM
iamagolfspaz When i had the new coils put on i also had new shocks added to compensate for the 2 added inches.

Triple88a depends how long ur shocks are.. if they are 3" longer than stocks then 1" spacers will do the job, otherwise you will need longer shocks for 3" lift.. nuthing else should be needed..

maybe you might need to drop the tranny skid a bit but that should do it

Extra inch

Hey guys and Terror
A while back i added 2 inch longer springs. now i want to add a 1 inch coil spacer up front to raise the front a little. Will i be able to do this without any additional items like longer brake lines etc. Or could i just add the inch and get the front end aligned and be on my merry way?
