enjerhoo The 2" Rancho sport lift. I really expected to fight the springs more than I did. Disconnect the sway bars, LCA's & flex the sides independently & they almost fell out by themselves. Relative to the stuts on a KJ or coils on the front of my 45 year old Mustang it was a breeze.

I'm to the point that I expect any job to be a battle. I set the whole day aside to work on that wheel stud and cut my wife's bumper down to a stubby. I spent more time prepping for what I needed to do for the wheel stud than all the work combined. I posted before and after pics of the stubby bumper and didn't realize until my wife pointed it out that they were taken 39 minutes apart.

Antonio_jku There once was a loud clank on the suspension when I recently lifted it. I thought I screws something up majorly. I got a tourqe wrench and and retourqed everything and the click was gone!!!

Easier than expected?

Ever prepare for a repair or mod that you just know is going to be a bear and turns out to be a breeze?

I needed to replace a wheel stud that I stripped. (thought I started it by hand before hitting it with the impact gun, but apparently didn't)
I order 5 studs because my local parts dealer only sold them in packs of 5. I figured it was going to be a battle to bang out the old stud on my 09.

I thoroughly prepared for battle by placing a jack stand under the frame so that with all my hammering it wouldn't just be supported by the floor jack. I removed the brake caliper and saw that I would need to remove the rotor as expected. I securely zip tied the rotor so that any vibrations would knock it loose causing damage to brake lines or sensor wires.

I took a firm grasp of the 2lb hammer and gave it a short easy tap to line it up for some firm banging AND IT MOVED! I was shocked to see the stud give a little. 2 more gentle taps and it popped out. I was completely shocked! I ended up spending more time preparing for battle than actually fixing the issue.

Anyone else ever have a job go easier than expected?
