|InfernoGirl||I sanded mine and hit it with some Rustoleum Rust Reformer.... cheap enough from AZ and seems to be working ok for now. I only had a half dozen or so spots that were looking bad and wanted to stop it sooner than later...|

Will be sandblasting mine next spring and rust proofing. If you're going to do something like this, might as well do it right. Dude down the road from has a garage with a pit and sand blasting machine. Said I could use it for free. All I have to do is buy the sand.
Subscribed to this thread though to see what other suggestions might come along.

I have some surface rust on my frame, and I want to paint it or put on a protective coating. Por-15 looks like a great solution, but it is very expensive. Has anyone else done this project with different options and good results? Thanks in advance.
