Alright so... I have two Gymkhana T-shirts to give away. The first 2 people that can tell me who won the Discount Tire Burn out Competition at this event will each get one. Here's your clue:

|Discount Tire||^^I hadn't thought about that. It would be cool to have something like this at a location that isn't a dedicated track, somewhere like at the Lake Pleasant Marina or an airport like you mention. That would be really cool.|

|Hammerwalk||I used to follow NOPI a while back. Watching the NOPI Nationals at Ennis Raceway down here in Texas was some fun stuff to go to. Im always amazed at how much HP they can squeeze out of those little 4-bangers, and the 1/4 mile times they would turn, from all classes. Never seen drifting live, well, not live at an organized event, but yeah, to have controlled chaos like that takes some skill.|

|AzTJ||I'd think so too. The Import shows always have a good turn out, but they are limited by venues. PIR, Speedworld and Firebird are all getting boring... if Williams-Gateway wasn't as an active air port as it was like twelve years ago, that would be a GREAT location.|

|Discount Tire||It would be cool to have it come to AZ sometime. I think it would draw a pretty good crowd.|

Very cool stuff. Thing kind of thing never goes on here in AZ. Dai has been in the drift circuit in the states for some time now so he's got a pretty good handle on the Gymkhana stuff. +1 for him being a DiscountTire car.
As for the first picture you posted, I fallowed the build up of that car on SpeedHunters, the guy did a lot of work himself.

Gymkhana Grid Pics
I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea here but last weekend I got the chance to shoot some photos at the Ken Block Gymkhana Grid event in Southern Cal. I thought I would share a few of my photos, here's a few of my favorites:
