If it's an internal slave, you will have to drop the tranny to get at it. I just got done with my son's 91. Put in a new tranny and a clutch at the same time. I took us three 6 hour days and a lot of pb blaster due the rust. I would recommend a transmission jack and drop the transfer case before removing the tranny. It will make the tranny a lot less heavy.

|Tyewilly||It depends on wether you have an internal or external slave cylinder. My '95 has an external slave cylinder and looks pretty easy to change. I haven't dealt with any jeeps with internal slave cylinders, so I'm not sure how difficult they would be. It is definitely a good idea to get a service manual if you plan on working on it yourself.|

|RichM||Thank you. Is it easy to replace? I have worked as a fitter but have just moved to the states and don't have many tools or a ramp etc.|

For some reason my clutch is engaging when I'm sat at lights or waiting anywhere with the clutch in and the Jeep in gear. When this happens the only solution seems to be to turn off the engine which in turn allows you to take it out of gear and restart.
I have checked the clutch fluid level and it seems fine. Should the fluid be to the top of the reservoir?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
