|kba245||To elaborate a little more, the jeep was fine when it was parked and only sat for a couple of hours. When I came back out to drive it, it began clattering as soon as I started down the road. I will try changign the fluid as that may be my cheapest and easiest solution, but are there other options htat I should look at as well?|

Hey, I have a 90 model YJ with an ax-15 transmission and I am having problems with it. When you let off of the gas in 1st and let the jeep hold itself back it clatters pretty noisily. Second makes a quieter clattering noise as well but not nearly as bad. It is also hard to get into second gear unless it is stopped completely. Obviously synchronizers are the first thing that everyone thinks of but that isn't exactly what I want to try first. Any thoughts on what I could try first?
