MMJ89586 Okay sounds good. Thanks for the help.

jkjeeper06 But to answer the question, both will fit no problem. As long as it isn't a huge price difference I'd run the bigger tires. Because they are the same width, they will have the same surface area and will have almost exactly the same mpg

Basically the 265/75/16 will be just a tad higher then the 265/70/16 while the 70 will be a tad wider
I believe that both the 265/75/r16 am 265/70/r16 are the same width. The only difference is that the 265/75 will be a tiny bit taller. Both are 265mm wide

MMJ89586 How about 265/75r16. Will those still fit?

jkjeeper06 Basically the answer is you shouldn't have any problems but if you do the fix would cost you 15 cents max and wouldn't hurt the jeep. Depending on what tire u get, the tread might be a tiny bit wider for example duratracs are relatively wide. You won't have any trouble with rub unless you disconnect the sway bar and fully max out the suspension which I wouldn't suggest wheeling that hard if it is your DD. If it rubs at full lock tho what you can do is take off the steering stops located on the steering knuckle behind the axel tube and add a washer to it and vioala your tires fit perfectly on those rims. I was going to go with that exact plan but I chose only to go to 245 this time to get slightly better gas mileage. I'm not sure if it would actually be noticeable but I figured I would go to the 265 for my next tire

larger tires on stock rims

I am looking at getting 265/70/r16 tires for my 2011 wrangler unlimited. I want to use the stock rims that came with 225/75/r16 I believe. Will I have any problems with the new tires fitting the stock rims?
