remanufactured engine

I swapped out my I6 258 about a year and a half ago. Got a remanufactured engine from Kragen for $1600.00 and got $300.00 back when I returned the old engine. The engine had everything ready to go, just needed to take off my intake/exhaust manifold, carb, power steering pump and stuff like that. It came with an 18 month/unlimited milage warranty too. So far, so problems with mine. Good luck.

bluvikng You should be able to find a reputable source for rebuilt engines, in your surrounding area. It would not be very cost effective to ship one too you.

X2 on what daddyjeep said.

daddyjeep Check the larger parts stores in your area(Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, Pep Boys). They usually have remanufactured long blocks. I think a few people here have gone that route.

George T. i was looking a something that says you can get a new crate engine (4.0,6) for the jeep starting at 1500. im assuming that has none of the pumps or anyhting and is just the engine. ill see if i can find that for you.

new engine

my engine is startin to get pretty weak on me. i dont have the time to pull min eand rebuild it then put it back in. nor do i have the money to drop a 350 in it. i just want to know where is a good, reputable place that i can get a new or rebuilt engine for my 91 6cyl preferably with a warranty. my plan is to get the new engine. swap it out for mine and rebuild mine and sell it to one of my buddie's whos engine is also gettin pretty worn out.
